Fire Policy 

 

Group Sessions

Trainer responsibilities:

• Ensure available fire exits are shown to new clients on week one of the course.

• Prior to each session, to check the fire exits are clear from obstruction and easily accessible.

• Inform owners if there are any planned fire drills over the duration of the course.

Owner responsibilities:

• Take note of fire safety instructions when delivered by trainer.

• Be responsible for escorting your dog out of the premises with you. If you attend class with children and may require help to remove child and dog, please inform trainer so I can be more aware of extra assistance needed.

Training Holidays

Trainer responsibilities:

• Ensure exits are always free from obstruction.

• Have appropriate fire safety equipment (fire extinguisher, fire blanket, first aid kit).

• Be responsible for removing the dog safely if a fire broke out while they were staying at my home.

• Obtain emergency contact information and veterinary information from owner prior to training holiday.

Owner responsibilities:

• Ensure emergency contact information is accurate and up to date when providing this information to the trainer.
